Three additional PALFINGER EPSILON cranes have been in use in Serbia's forests since the start of this year. The Serbian forest administration body “Srbijašume” has modernised its fleet by adding four new VOLVO lorries, together with three PALFINGER EPSILON cranes. In order to master the challenges in daily forest work more efficiently, the customer opted for three EPSILON M12Z83 cranes from the current NEXT EPSOLUTION series.

EPSILON CRANES IN USE IN SERBIAN FORESTS

The Serbian forest administration body is in charge of caring for and managing 892,895 hectares of state-owned forests and forested areas. The company Srbijašume has a total fleet of 20 lorries. Up to now, five of them have been equipped with PALFINGER EPSILON cranes. By acquiring the three PALFINGER EPSILON M12Z83 cranes, the company can master the daily challenges in the forest more efficiently. This is because the new M-Series from PALFINGER EPSILON sets higher standards. The newest technology of the M-series already impressed on first use. Despite major technological improvements, we have succeeded in keeping the weight of the crane consistently low hold thus making it the lightest crane in its class. The outreach of 8.3 m in the single telescope increases day-to-day productivity. In addition, the internal hose routing allows every job to be completed without complication, and also reduces the risk of damage to the hoses.

HANDOVER CEREMONY IN OMOLJICA

The ceremony to mark the handover of the three PALFINGER EPSILON M12Z83 cranes took place on 23 January 2018 in Omoljica, Serbia. PALFINGER Serbia d.o.o. (branch of PK d.o.o. Croatia, which also delivered the cranes to Srbijašume and installed them) as well as representatives of VOLVO were present at the handover. In addition, both private as well as public companies in the field of wood processing and wood transport from all of Serbia were invited to the crane handover. The PALFINGER EPSILON cranes are used to transport wood in the Loznica, Kruševac, Kučevo and Kuršumlija regions.
